Further to the minutes circulated in the previous rozgar update, a preparatory meeting for the ÒRozgar Adhikar YatraÓ is being held on 21 April. See the invitation below,

ROZGAR ADHIKAR YATRA

(preparatory meeting, 21 April)

Plans are afoot to launch a country-wide Òrozgar adhikar yatraÓ from New Delhi on Friday, 13 May (the last day of the Budget session of Parliament). The main objective of this yatra is to mobilize further public support for the right to work and consolidate the campaign for a full-fledged Employment Guarantee Act.

An initial meeting was held on 1 April to discuss this idea and a tentative itinerary (copied below) was prepared. A larger Òpreparatory meetingÓ will be held on 21 April to finalise the itinerary and plan a series of activities on the way, from 13 May until the end of June. All organizations committed to the right to work are cordially invited to this preparatory meeting.
