Rozgar Adhikar Yatra

This page is being hosted on behalf of People's Action for Employment Guarantee, for the duration of the "Rozgar Adhikar Yatra" launched on 13 May 2005 from New Delhi.

The aim of this Yatra is to consolidate the campaign for a full-fledged, universal and irreversible Employment Guarantee Act. Beyond this, the Yatra seeks to affirm the right to work as an aspect of the fundamental right to live with dignity.

The Yatra will go through ten states (Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh) before returning to Delhi at the end of June. Public meetings, state conventions, cultural activities, public demonstrations, press conferences, etc., will be taking place on the way. All organizations committed to the right to work are invited to take part in these activities.

Jan Manch in Delhi as Yatra Returns (July 2, 2005)

A Jan Manch will be held on July 2, 2005 when the Yatra returns to Delhi. The programme will be held at Speakers Hall, Constitution Club, Rafi Marg, New Delhi from 10 am to 5 pm. For further information, click here
