| Employment Guarantee Act: Campaign Materials The passing of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) in August 2005 was a major landmark towards ensuring the right to work. Since then, groups and individuals from all over the country have held the state to its promises in a variety of ways: by spreading awareness of labourer's entitlements under the NREGA; by organizing social audits to combat corruption; and by using official redressal mechanisms to check violations of government guidelines. This page contains "tools for action" which may be used to further the goal of making the Employment Guarantee Act a reality. Please feel free to download, translate and modify these materials according to the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme in your state. Please let us know of additional material you have found useful, by emailing us at righttofood@gmail.com.
